Care starts before the freeze-dryer is switched on
Freeze-drying itself is only one part of the process. Receiving, registering, checking the temperature, storage, preparation, quality checks and cleaning deserve just as much attention. That is why your milk follows a consistent series of steps.

The complete process
From your hands to ours
01
Stap 1
Receiving and registration
When your milk arrives, we count the bags, check the temperature and inspect the packaging. We photograph and label the milk and link everything to your order, keeping the batch clearly identifiable throughout the process.
02
Stap 2
Safe storage
After arrival, your milk goes straight back into a monitored freezer. The batch remains separate and clearly labelled until processing begins.
03
Stap 3
Preparing your milk
On processing day, we carefully open and weigh the bags. The frozen milk is blended into an even, semi-frozen consistency and spread across clean trays. We use suitable protective equipment and follow consistent hygiene procedures.
04
Stap 4
Freeze-drying
The trays are placed in the freeze-dryer. Under vacuum, the frozen water is removed directly as vapour. Depending on the volume, this stage usually takes 48 to 72 hours. Time, temperature and process settings are monitored throughout the cycle.
05
Stap 5
Checks after drying
Afterwards, we inspect the result and measure and weigh the dried milk. The powder is then mixed and sieved to create a fine, even texture. We record any differences or noteworthy details.
06
Stap 6
Portioning and packaging
We divide the powder into your chosen format. Every sachet or large pouch is individually filled, weighed and carefully sealed. You receive a personal water ratio calculated for your batch.
07
Stap 7
Labelling and return
We add the correct labels and storage instructions. Everything is then securely packed and returned or prepared for collection. If your order is shipped, you receive tracking details.
08
Stap 8
Cleaning and preparation
After every order, we clean the workspace, trays, materials and freeze-dryer components according to our cleaning procedure. Only then do we prepare the room and equipment for the next batch.
